2020 Domaine Ponsot Clos de la Roche Grand Cru – Cuvée Vieilles Vignes – 1 Bottle Producer: Domaine Ponsot Wine: Clos de la Roche Cuvée: Vieilles Vignes Vintage: 2020 Country: France Region: Burgundy, Côte de Nuits Village: Morey-Saint-Denis Appellation: Clos de la Roche Grand Cru Grape Variety: Pinot Noir Number of Bottles: 1 Wine Description: The 2020 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru Cuvée Vieilles Vignes is one of Domaine Ponsot’s emblematic wines, closely associated with the history and identity of this Burgundy estate. Founded in 1872, Domaine Ponsot has longstanding roots in Morey-Saint-Denis. Its connection with Clos de la Roche dates back to the acquisition of a vineyard parcel by William Ponsot in the year the estate was established. This cuvée is produced from old vines situated within the Clos de la Roche Grand Cru appellation. Approximately two-thirds of the grapes originate from the original Clos de la Roche climat, with the remaining third coming from the foot of the hillside in Clos des Monts-Luisants. The old-vine character and Grand Cru origin make this an important bottle for collectors interested in the individual vineyards of the Côte de Nuits and the wines of Domaine Ponsot. The 2020 vintage offers an opportunity to add this historic estate’s signature cuvée to a Burgundy collection. Bottle Condition: The front label appears well preserved in the photographs. The capsule is present and shows minor visible surface marks. Please examine the photographs carefully for the exact external condition of the bottle.
