A perfectly stored magnum of Petit Chablis nearing maturity, from the iconic master of Chablis; Raveneau. Purchased directly from their distributor locally and stored in a humidity controlled fridge since. Selling due to downsizing of space and in particular, a lack of future space for magnums. The fruit comes from a small 0.82-hectare plot of Chardonnay vines planted around 2010 on the plateau directly above the famous Les Clos Grand Cru vineyard. Unlike most producers in the region, the family-run estate ferments its wines in stainless steel before transferring them to neutral, old 400-liter and 500-liter oak barrels for aging. This provides structural roundness without masking the wine in oak flavors. The wax capsule is lightly chipped but the cork and fill levels are both in perfect condition.
