Visual examination: Deep, intense ruby red with lively purplish reflections due to the excellent structure of the 2018 vintage. Olfactory examination: Nose rich and complex; pronounced notes of black forest fruits (blueberry, blackcurrant, blackberry), hints of sweet spices, vanilla and woody notes integrated with balsamic nuances, graphite and a touch of dried tobacco. Palate examination: On the palate it is structured, full and silky. The tannins are dense but ripe and elegant. It has a pronounced freshness and a prolonged persistence with a finish of dark fruit and finely molded toasts from wood aging. Glassware recommended and service: Bordeaux glass (one large-bowl glass with a slightly conical closing to enhance the complex aromas and allow the wine to aerate). Serving temperature: 16 - 18 °C.
