The wine The House’s iconic cuvée, first created in 1876 for the Tsar of Russia, Cristal is produced from 45 exceptional vineyard plots spread across seven Grand Cru villages in the Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blancs. Density and power define the 2008 vintage, offering a perfect combination of concentration and freshness. Winemaking and ageing No malolactic fermentation is carried out. After ten years of ageing in the cool darkness of the House’s chalk cellars, Cristal 2008 reveals itself in a burst of purity and harmony. The blend Louis Roederer Cristal 2008 is a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay. Tasting notes Nose Displaying perfect harmony and complexity, Cristal 2008 reveals an intense bouquet in which candied citrus aromas give way to luscious notes of pear and almond, enriched by delicate toasted nuances.
