Kloster Eberbach represents more than 850 years of winemaking tradition. The historic monastery's monks recognized early on that the climatic conditions of the Rheingau region were ideal for producing exceptional wines from locally grown grapes. Through its "Domäne Bergstraße", Kloster Eberbach operates on about 30ha in Germany's smallest wine-growing area, Hessische Bergstraße. The VDP.GROSSE LAGE Im Landberg vineyard is located in the Rheingau / Hessische Bergstraße wine-growing region and covers an area of 8.47 hectares. Alongside Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris are also cultivated here. The diversity of grape varieties, combined with the vineyard’s distinctive soil and climatic conditions, makes Im Landberg an exceptional site for producing high-quality wines. A mature Grauburgunder, reminiscent of aged Chardonnays however, with notes of baked quince, dried pear, roasted almonds and a hint of honey. Full-bodied and gently creamy, with subtle herbal spice, well-integrated acidity and a savoury, slightly nutty finish. Estate bottled and shipped by Kloster Eberbach.
