2007 Galpin Scythe

One-of-a-kind custom by Galpin Auto Sports, melding old-school hot-rod hardware with advanced technology. Debuted at the 2008 SEMA Show in Las Vegas; displayed at Galpin Ford in Los Angeles. Based on a 2007 Ford Mustang GT Convertible. Fully bespoke composite bodywork with floating roof and rear-hinged scissor doors. Twin-supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 running on methanol, reportedly rated at 1,005 hp. Custom air suspension, Wilwood brakes, and two-spoke ultra-wide polished wheels. Redundant controls allowing either right- or left-hand drive. Voice command operation for various features enabled through an XPC Shuttle onboard mini-computer. Finished in a color-shifting shade of purple with deep blue undertones. Among the most extreme and innovative custom cars of its day.
