All auctions / Silver & Gold / 2001 Cook Islands $500 Silver Proof 64.24 Oz .999
This proof coin is .9999 silver and was 2 Kilos at 64.24 troy ounces. One side is Queen Elizabeth II and the other is Moby Dick jumping over a boat. There were only 600 minted and many were sold in this limited edition Mahogany "porthole" style frame as if one were looking at Moby Dick through the porthole. Our item is numbered 407. These often sell at a premium above silver melt because of its rarity and the porthole packaging
