East Asia, China, Qing Dynasty, ca. 19th century CE. A stoneware jar with a rounded shoulder and short, flaring mouth, coated at the upper body in a black glaze in the Henan blackware tradition. The glaze descends in an uneven boundary, giving way to a dark brown matte slip below. The base is finished with an unglazed, ring-form foot. Size: 7.6" Diameter x 8.4" H (19.3 cm x 21.3 cm) Item # 201130
