1970s Anton Michelsen Denmark Scandinavian Modernist Silver Fringe Necklace. Necklace designed by Eigil Jensen for Anton Michelsen, Denmark C.1970 in silver with each element of the fringe capturing the light reflections. Length: 15 inches. Weight: Michelsen mark AM Sterling Denmark. Michelsen established his own company in Copenhagen in 1841. He became the royal jeweller and exhibited at the Exposition Universelle in Paris in 1855. After his death, the company was run by his son and grandson. The company worked with many notable designers including Arnold Krog, Thorvald Bindesbøll, Arne Bang and Eigil Jensen (1917-2002) trained with the Hans Hansen silversmithy and designed for Georg Jensen.
