All auctions / Wine & Spirits / 1962 Vega Sicilia Único - Ribera del Duero Gran Reserva - 1 Bottle (0.75L)
Parker Scale Points: 100/100 Parker Points. We are in the presence of a true legend of enology: one of the few mythical Spanish vintages that has reached absolute perfection and the maximum rating awarded by The Wine Advocate. Fill level: Base of the neck. (An absolutely extraordinary and very rare level to see in a bottle over 60 years old, which guarantees its hermetic seal). Label condition: Excellent label. (In magnificent condition, fully legible, clearly showing that this is bottle No. 10194, preserving the natural, elegant patina of decades gone by). Cork condition: Excellent. (Totally intact, firm, with no wear or the slightest sign of leakage or exterior moisture). Bottle size: Standard 75 cl bottle. Bottler: Bottled by Château / Bottled at the property (Bodegas Vega Sicilia, S.A., Valbuena de Duero). Wine/bodega history: Vega Sicilia Único from 1962 is not just a wine, it is a myth of the Ribera del Duero and of world wine heritage. Renowned for its long, patient aging in wood and bottle, this vintage, in particular, is globally coveted by investors and lovers of classic wine. What stands out most about this specific lot is its unbeatable traceability: the bottle has been jealously kept in a private cellar under ideal and constant temperature, darkness, and humidity conditions over the years. This professional storage is responsible for its astonishing current fill level and the perfect integrity of its cork. For drinking or for keeping: For drinking or for keeping. It is an ideal museum piece as a safe-haven value and long-term investment, but thanks to its impeccable conservation, it also sits in a fascinating window for those fortunate enough to decide to uncork history.
