1957 Auto-Union DKW Schnellaster Project

Precursor to the modern minivan and commercial vans, widely used across Europe, Scandinavia, and South America. The first vehicle manufactured by the Auto Union conglomerate—predecessor to Audi—after its reestablishment in post-WWII West Germany. Front-wheel drive layout with efficiently packaged, transversely mounted two-stroke three-cylinder engine and four-speed manual transmission, allowing for a cavernous interior and low loading floor. German-manufactured unit; appears to retain various original components. A fascinating project for the German automotive enthusiast and history buff.
