1950 Land Rover Series I Mk II

Desirable early production, home-market Series I Mk II on 80-in. wheelbase, distinguished by headlight cutouts in wire mesh front grille and cowl-mounted side lights. Originally fitted with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine. Completed production on 27 October 1950 and dispatched to T. Baker & Sons Ltd. of Reading, Berkshire, on 30 October 1950, according to BMIHT certified factory record. First registered in the UK on 2 November 1950; restored under previous ownership to current finish in factory-correct green. Acquired for The Boeckmann Collection out of England in late 2020; imported to the United States in early 2021. A nicely presented early, right-hand-drive example of the groundbreaking original Land Rover.
