18th-Century Sloping "Donkey's Back" Desk, Stamped by Pierre II MIGEON (1696–1758) A desk made of violetwood with marquetry on all sides, featuring a drop-down front panel that reveals an interior with drawers and a stepped entablature. The lower section contains a central drawer flanked by two doors on the front. It rests on four curved legs decorated with a small bronze plaque featuring floral motifs. Stamped “Migeon” on the underside of the desk on the right. H: 99 cm W: 96 cm D: 51 cm Shows signs of use and wear; damage to the drawer lock.
