Deep, rich antique mahogany and autumn-orange brown color blankets both sides of this frosty to appreciably semi-reflective example. Fully struck throughout, expertly preserved, and distraction free apart from a trivial handling mark in he upper right obverse field. The prominent rim cud on the reverse at 10 o'clock is in a similar state to that seen on the specimen in the West Point collection, struck circa 1885. Provenance: From the Henry Mitchell Collection.
