1786 New Jersey Copper. Maris 18-M, W-4890. Rarity-2. Curved Plow

1786 New Jersey Copper. Maris 18-M, W-4890. Rarity-2. Curved Plow Beam, Bridle, Wide Shield. About Uncirculated, Porous. 141.98 grains. A generally well centered and overall well executed strike allow full appreciation of the sharply defined motifs on this Maris 18-M, including the entire horse head, plow, and the nice wide shield on the reverse. The date is clear, as well, and the denticulation is complete around both sides except on the reverse from 7 to 12 o'clock. Dark olive-charcoal patina with areas of pitting to overall lightly porous surfaces, reverse also with some ancient verdigris at the right border. PCGS# 766247. BASE PCGS# 501. NGC ID: 2B4J.
