13pc Antique and Vintage Porcelain Novelty Shoe Figurines

An assortment of thirteen porcelain and bisque novelty shoe figurines, including various forms such as toothpick holders, match holders, and decorative whimsies. The collection features figurative subjects including a gnome standing by a boot, a seated jester in a silver and red suit with a gold-tone hat, and various shoes with climbing or peering cats. Decorative elements across the group include hand-painted floral sprigs, relief-molded scrollwork, fabric ribbons, and swan motifs. Several pieces bear identifying marks on the undersides. One white shoe with a blue ribbon features a blue painted anchor on the heel. The large pink and tan shoe decorated with swans has the word Spain impressed into the ceramic on the sole. Other markings include a red hand-painted number 31 on the jester figurine, an intertwined blue script monogram appearing as G and S on the shoe with the climbing cat, and a small red cross or X mark on a pink high-heeled shoe.
