The group includes topographical views, ship portraits, and philatelic souvenir items. Highlights include a 1951 commemorative postal cover for the inauguration of the Paquebot G-L. Leclerc bearing three French stamps and a circular date stamp reading INAUGURATION PAQUEBOT GENL LECLERC 5. 12. 1951 BORDEAUX. A matching philatelic souvenir card for the Compagnie Maritime des Chargeurs Reunis features a color illustration of an ocean liner and is addressed to an agent in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with corresponding 1951 cancellations and Verlaine stamps. The collection further contains a limited edition commemorative card from the Club Philatelique de Cote d'Ivoire featuring the ship L'Afrique with a 1990 Abidjan postmark.
