Barnebys in the news

In 2011, Barnebys was founded in Stockholm by Christopher Barnekow, Pontus Silfverstolpe, Gustaf Grapengiesser and Christofer Ferriera Gomes, with the goal to open up the auction world and give everybody access to all ongoing auctions. In one place, we've gathered lots from all over the world, in order to create an overview and make it easy for potential buyers to find what they're looking for. What we offer is the world's largest search service and the ability to search among millions of realized prices from finished auctions.

Barnebys is run by the founders but with external fundings. A few of our investors are Industrifonden, Active Venture Partners, Howsat and Monkfish. The two latter also contribute with knowledge and experience from having developed two of the world's most recognized and well-used meta search services - Momondo and Trivago.

Barnebys is now in place in seven countries and has about one million visitors every month. It's a meta search service, which aggregates information from auction houses, and presents our users with a unique access to the world's panoply of auctions.

Alongside the search service, our editorial staff will keep you on the pulse of all art, culture and auction industry news.
