Made up of 150 bones, and two tusks, the skeleton is 90% complete and when assembled measures 15 feet in length. The missing bones are minor and have been replaced with replicas.

Mammoths have been extinct for over 10,000 years, and this particular skeleton is dated back 50,000 years. The skeleton had an estimate of $236,000 - $394,000 and sold for $300,000 to a private collector.

The Evolution auction featured several mammoth tusks and other collectibles from the animal kingdom, such as skeletons, taxidermy, corals and fossils.
