MOCA has teamed up with LA-based VRt Ventures to recreate a version of Kerry James Marshall's ''Mastry'' exhibition at the Grand Avenue galleries. The ground-breaking and smash-hit exhibition started at Chicago's Museum of Contemporary Art in April 2016, before going to New York's Mat Breuer and then on to LA's MOCA where it closed in the summer of 2017.

The show was a 35-year retrospective of Marshall's career. The artist's work draws attention to the absence of the black experience in the Western art canon and history books.

Using laser scanning and volumetric photography, users can ''walk'' through the exhibition, exploring the show accompanied by a guided tour. The exhibition can be downloaded for free from today and can be viewed both with and without a VR headset.
