The diamonds in the auction include a 7.06 carat emerald-cut of F colour, VVS1 clarity as well as a potentially flawless and a princess-cut weighing over 10 carats.

This piece is the design work of French jewelry designer Jean Schlumberger. Schlumberger once created buttons for Elsa Schiaparelli in the 1930s. Schiaparelli later commissioned Schlumberger to design costume jewelry for the Schiaparelli brand.

In 1956, Schlumberger began designed for Tiffany & Co. His designs were inspired by nature, capturing sea creatures and animals in his creations. His designs adorned the likes of Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn, Greta Garbo, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and the Duchess of Windsor.

Schlumberger, along with Paloma Picasso, Elsa Peretti and Frank Gehry, was one of only four jewelers that Tiffany & Co. allowed to sign their work..
