A painting attributed to Giambattista Tiepolo, The Holy Trinity Appearing to Saint Clement, appeared at an auction in New York in January last year. It was stolen from a private collection in Turin, Italy in 1982.

A painting attributed to Giambattista Tiepolo, The Holy Trinity Appearing to Saint Clement, appeared at an auction in New York in January last year. It was stolen from a private collection in Turin, Italy in 1964.

FBI assistant director Diego Rodriguez says of the return: "For decades, two significant pieces of Italian heritage have been on the run... until today. We are proud to be able to return these key pieces of work back to the Italians."
