Hey! Ho! Let’s Go: Ramones and the Birth of Punk will open this Sunday and celebrates the career of the 1970's rock band. Images, music videos and promotional material from the band's active years never portrayed them smiling. The photograph was taken on East Second Street and the Bowery in New York's East Village.

Their ennui manner has inspired rock bands, with the likes of The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys and Nirvana all showing influences from The Ramones in their acts.
