Say hello to Berenson, a robot critic, complete with a top hat and scarf, who roams the halls of the museum. Berenson, named after the late critic Bernard Berenson, is part of the ''Persona: Oddly Human'' exhibition at the Musée du quai Branly's.

Engineer Philippe Gaussier along with anthropologist Denis Vidal, devised Berenson to examine the relationships museum-goers have with the objects on display. Berenson gauges their reactions and facial expressions and portrays his conclusion with either a smile or a frown.
