Bid and buy on thousands of jewelry auctions in real time, at Auction King

Auction King, headquartered in Sacramento, California, searches the world to bring its customers truly exceptional pieces that have been triple-checked to verify their provenance and authenticity. Bidders can participate in thousands of auctions in real time, online, and enjoy absentee bidding with the security of knowing all auctions are secure via the Secure Bidder Network, to keep all absentee bids private. Once someone has an account, they can search by category, explore and browse upcoming auctions. Auction King’s primary categories are jewelry, watches, fine art, handbags, sports memorabilia and collectibles.

Once a bidder finds the piece they love, they are advised to leave an absentee bid (placed before the live event) to better their chances of taking home a treasure. Once an auction goes live on the site, bidders are encouraged to tune in for an opportunity to outbid other customers in real time, from the comfort of their home. Auction King extends the following offer to readers of this blog post: Use the code BARNEBY30 at checkout for an additional $30 off any winning bid! Fine estate items are donated, then sold, thru The Benefit Shop Foundation, Inc.

The Benefit Shop Foundation, Inc., based in Mount Kisco, New York, has a mission statement that’s simple and to the point: “to donate, to discover and to do good.” And those aren’t just words. As a 501 © (3) not-for-profit, the firm operates to raise funds for other local charities. Monthly auctions are held at 185 Kisco Avenue (Suite 201) in Mount Kisco (as well as online), with occasional specialty sales of single-owner collections. The merchandise is donated out of upscale estates in tony Westchester County and beyond. The estate gets a tax deduction, the buyer gets a great deal and charities get the money.

Once a month, The Benefit Shop Foundation holds what it calls a Red Carpet Auction – premium collections of antique, mid-century modern, brand furnishings, sterling silver, china, crystal, jewelry and fine art – live in the gallery and online. The next Red Carpet Auction will be on Wednesday, October 25th, at 10 am Eastern and it’s packed with 550 lots of wonderful gently-used, donated items. The firm also holds regular online-only sales throughout the month; starting bids are all $1. These are called Top Shelf, Odds & Ends and Penny Candy auctions. All images here are lots in the October 25th Red Carpet Auction. For more info, click here.
