An incredible 34 of the galleries at the 10th edition are from Turkey and the fair proves to be securing the middle market for Turkish art, as locals champion the fair.

102 galleries and dealers will be present at CI, representing 24 countries with gallerists from Miami, Tehran, Berlin, London, Paris, Barcelona and Moscow.

The CI Focus this year has chosen Tehran as the location topic for galleries to choose a work to showcase. This year, work by new talents as well as market favorites from Tehran galleries will be participating in "CI Focus: Contemporary Tehran."

Assar Art Gallery, Aaran Art Gallery, Dastan's Basement, Lajevardi Foundation, Shirin Gallery, and The Mobarqa Collection will all showcase pieces by artists including Moreshin Allahyari, Babak Roshaninejad, Nasser Bakhshi, Ali Akbar Sadeghi, and Houman Mortazavi.

Founder and Chairman of Contemporary Istanbul, Ali Güreli said: "This city has an incredible history and a strong emerging contemporary art scene which we want to present to the world.''

"It has always been the interest of CI and its collectors to discover new artists and promote exciting art scenes from around the world. That is why we are excited that Tehran will have a strong presence this year at the fair."
