What makes this collection stand out the most is the overview of many of the different art-movements that were developed under the post-war period. In the 1960's, a lot of Pop Art was on the Swedish art scene and many leading galleries in Sweden also sold artworks from American artists. The Hoglunds thus got a hold of many of the artworks included in the collection through direct contact with the artists, in galleries in Sweden but also during trips in Europe and the United States.

One of the collection's most exciting works is the Concetto Spaciale Attesefrom 1965 by the artist Lucio Fontana. What is spectacular about this piece is that it's considered one of Fontana's most famous ones, even though it has never been formally exhibited. The first time the couple laid eyes on the painting it was hanging on the wall in Galerie Pierre, over the owner's desk.

Another exciting piece in the collection is one of Robert Rauschenberg's earliest silkscreen from 1963, which is set to make one of the top prices in the sale. This particular work was created during the same time as Andy Warhol himself made his first silkscreen. Many therefore say that together they paved way for this new technique. When the Hoglund's found this work of art it was part of an exhibition at the Galerie Ileana Sonnabend in Paris.
