The rose-printed silk crepe dress was worn in the movie which was to be Monroe's last. The piece is the creation of costume designer Jean Louis, who hand-made the dress. The craftsmanship and rarity of this piece means it have been given an estimate of $400 000-$600 000.

As well as the dress, other Monroe pieces, including a copy of an x-ray which has an estimate of $8 000-10 000, will also be up for auction in Hollywood. The x-ray is a side view x-ray from Cedars of Lebanon Hospital/Drs. E. Freedman and S. Finck, and is dated 11/10/54. The x -ray was used by the radiology resident at Cedars for teaching which Marilyn was aware of.
