On December 14 at Palazzo del Melograno, 380 pieces furniture and objects by Italian and international 20th century designers will be up for auction.

One of the highlights of this auction is a backlit mirror by Max Ingrand (lot 340). During the 1960's, the French designer Stardesigner created the round mirror for Fontana Arte, which he constructed out of glass, brass and crystal gems. The piece is estimated to sell between $23 320-26 500 (€22 000-25 000.)

Angelo Lelii's 1950's light for Arredoluce made of brass, aluminum and opal glass and is estimated at $6 350-7400 (€6 000-7 000.)

Pieces by Italian design genius Gio Ponti are set to feature. The artist and architect, designed this chest of three drawers for Casa e Giardino in the 1940s.

The second sale at Wannenes, entitled "Italian Style," will take place on 15th December. 398 lots by renowned designers will feature, including 4 wooden stools by Gianfranco Frattini for Cassina, which are estimated to sell for $320-420 (€300-400) an ideal entry piece for new collectors of design. Another highlight is this wooden, brass and crystal glass bar finished in a geometric style, that is complemented by two barstools with leather covered seats.

Previews will be held until December 13 in the Palazzo del Melograno in Genoa.
