DiCaprio played auctioneer for the night, with Simon De Pury overseeing the auction events. Guests included Elton John, Naomi Campbell as well as many more of the world's most rich and famous.

LDF, The Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, was founded in 2008. It sets out to implement systems which protect wildlife and their habitats, balancing damaged ecosystems.

Cars, watches, jewelry, movie memorabilia as well as unbelievable experiences such as a private concert with Elton John and an Arctic Expedition with Prince Albert went under the gavel.
