We've kept a keen eye on Brooklyn-based artist Brian Hubble for a while, meeting up with him last year in NYC and falling in love particularly with his engraved marble crate sculptures. Brian Hubble exhibited with Less is More Projects in Paris last year and is currently showing in the group exhibition SMALL Rome at the oh so cool Frutta Gallery in Rome (through Jan 24) curated by Adam Carr.

Swedish-born painter Ylva Carlgren presented her first solo show, "Self-Destruct" with Galleri Steinsland Berliner in Stockholm last year, featuring delicate watercolour paintings deriving from the visual identity of luxury brand items such as fragrances. In hindsight and on a personal note, one of the most anticipated shows for us last year. An interview with Ylva from the time of the show is found online on our art journal C-print.

Swedish artist/designer Anton Alvarez's innovative and crossdisiciplinary practice has already gained much attention and publicity worldwide - rightfully so. Anton was one of the very first artists to appear in our art journal C-print and having already exhibited with Salon 94 at last year's editions of Frieze London and Art Basel Miami, he is scheduled to present a solo show with the gallery later this spring.

The delightful Leontine Arvidsson, a recent graduate of the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm and the latest recipient of the prestigious Baertling grant, caught our attention last summer in a group exhibition at Waldemarsudde in Stockholm which saw works by recent graduates from said school in dialogue with the permanent collection. Leontine's first solo show opens at ANNAELLEGALLERY in Stockholm later in January. On view is part of an installation of metal wires from Leontine's graduate exhibition.

Aside from noted editorial work, 2014 saw the launch of artist Petra Collins's book "Discharge" and her first solo show at fellow artist Sophie Mörner's gallery Capricious in NYC. Petra Collins's evocative images in the series "The Teenage Gaze" beautifully capture the precarious state of being an adolescent.
