The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore T3 Chronograph was released in 2003 as Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines hit theaters with the return of Arnold Schwarzenegger, set to be that summer's big box office smash.

The watch firm had already designed a watch for the Governator for his role in the 2000 Sci-Fi thriller The 6th Day. In 2003, Arnie and Audemars Piguet were back, with the firm's largest creation: a 57.2mm in diameter including the crown guard, making it the biggest Royal Oak Offshore ever made.

Audemars Piguet created two version of the T3, one with a silver dial and the other with a black, with 500 pieces of each variation made. With only 1 000 editions of the watch made, it is highly sought after on the secondary market.

The limited edition was offered with a silver dial and a black dial, each variation limited to 500 pieces. At auction, one of the limited edition watches sell for prices from around $20 000 and up to $47 000. Check out more realized prices for the limited edition watch here.

The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore T3 Chronograph featured will be starring in Fellows' Watch auction on August 29, 2017. Check out more here.
