Van Gogh created the sunflower series whilst he was living in Arles, south of France, between 1888-1889. The works were sold by Van Gogh's sister-in-law and have never been seen together in a single exhibition together, until now.

London's National Gallery; The Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam; Munich's Neue Pinakothek; the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Tokyo's Seiji Togo Memorial Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Museum of Art have all come together to present five of the sunflower works.

The event will begin at 12:50 p.m. EST with the National Gallery first streaming a 15 minute Facebook Live video presented by one of their curators. The other four museums will follow consecutively. See here for more information.
