Marianne Westman (1928-) Sweden

Marianne Westman studied at the University College of Arts, Crafts & Design from 1946 to 1950 in the ceramics and glass department. From 1950 to 1971, she worked as a designer at the Rörstrand porcelain factory, where she designed the series Mon Amie (1952) and Picknick (1954). Westman was inspired by her surroundings and she created decorative patterns and products that were intended to be functional in the home. From 1971-77, Westman worked for the Skrufs Glasbruk glassworks.
