Francis Jourdain (1876-1958) France

Francis Jourdain was a French architect and designer. He was also active as an artist during an early period of his life, but later turned his interest towards architecture and design.
Jourdain designed furniture and interior decorations in the Art Nouveau style. He went against the luxury French design style that also existed during this time period. Instead, he created functional simplistic designs without excessive superficial adornments.
