Diego Giacometti (1902-1985) Switzerland

Diego Giacometti was a swiss sculptor and designer. At age 25 Diego went to Paris where his brother Alberto Giacometti was already studying. The two brothers developed similar styles and there exists examples where it is hard to identify the creator. Diego was inspired by the animal kingdom which is reflected in his work. Like his brother’s Diego’s sculptures are usually made from bronze. Diego’s sculptures can be seen at Fondation Maeght in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, Chagall Museum in Nice and Picasso Museum in Paris among other places.
