Svenskt Tenn

Swedish design company Svenskt Tenn was founded by Estrid Ericsson in 1924. In the beginning Svensk Tenn only sold products made out of pewter but the amount of products was increased in 1930 launching an interior departement. During the years, the company has had many well known designers creating products for the Swedish and international market. The most well known of them are probably Josef Frank who started working for Svenskt Tenn in 1934. He is most known for his many textile pattern, for instance Teheran, Hawaii, Dehli, Brazil and Manhattan, but also the candle stick vänskapsknuten and his many sofas, chairs and tables in mahogny. Together with designers Björn Trägårdh, Uno Åhrén and Anna Petrus, Josef Frank created a rich range of products for Svenskt Tenn appreciated by customers from all over the world.
