Gustave Albert (1866-1905) Sweden

Gustave Albert (Gustaf Andersson) studied at Valand School of Fine Art under Carl Larsson. Upon completion of his studies, he traveled to Paris where he lived and worked for the rest of his life. His motifs depict French river landscapes and the coast of Normandy. Albert’s silvery paintings were extremely popular among French art lovers and he became a member of the French Academy. Albert's works are mainly represented at Eskilstuna Museum, as well as at Nationalmuseum in Stockholm.
