Raymond Loewy (1893-1986) France

Raymond Loewy was a famous French-American industrial designer. He was born in Paris but spent most of his career in the United States. Loewy is referred to as the father of industrial design. He designed everything from razors and refrigerators, to locomotives and space shuttles.
 
Loewy designed the logos of major companies such as Shell, Exxon, BP and the graphic design of the cigarette packet Lucky Strike which all remain the same today. Loewy also made many revolutionary design efforts for American industries and companies such as The Coca-Cola Company, Greyhound, and NASA to name a few.
