Tora Vega Holmström (1880–1967) Sweden

Tora Vega Holmström Swedish visual artist born in Skåne. Vega Holmström studied at the Valand School of Fine Art in Gothenburg under Carl Wilhelmsson, as well as during trips to Dachau and at the Académie Colarossi in Paris. Early in her career she painted in the national romantic style, but subsequently transitioned to the more modern and contemporary art forms of Cubism and Expressionism. Vega Holmström was extremely interested in color and its importance, as is clearly evident in her painting.
