Armand-Albert Rateau (1882-1938) France

Armand-Albert Rateau was a French furniture designer, interior designer and architect. Rateau was a renowned and successful designer, and became well known for his designs and interiors that contributed to the Art Deco style’s increased popularity.
Rateau accepted design assignments from the French government offices, foreign embassies and companies such as Tiffany & Co. Today, some of Rateau’s furniture designs can be seen at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, USA.
