Alexandre Louis Marie Charpentier was a French sculptor and medalist. He was considered one of the foremost in the latter art form due to his impressionistic style of his work. Charpentier experimented with various materials in his work, from traditional sculpture materials such as silver, bronze and clay, to the more unusual such as leather and glass.
