Naval chain shot consisting of 2 iron balls connected by a 5-link chain. These chain shots were fired by cannons to cause maximum destruction to ship's rigging, sales, and personnel. This example measures approximately 12 - 1/2" in length, each ball measures approximately 2.72" in diameter. Nice dark patina with scattered blemishes. Weight is approximately 6 lbs 4 ozs.
