The Tarzan stories written by Edgar Rice Burroughs beginning in 1912 would eventually expended to 23 full length novels becoming very popular in England and America prior to WW1. In 1977 the series moved to Marvel Comics, retitled as Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle. Marvel published 29 issues from June 1977 to October 1979 of which these 16 issues come from. Burroughs books adapted by Marvel include Tarzan of the Apes, Tarzan and the Jewels of Opar and Jungle Tales of Tarzan amoung others. Although hailed as one of the better comic attemps of the Tarzan novels the series did not prove to be successful for Marvel and was dropped in 1979 after 2 years of publication. In the fine to very fine condition these issues are in they are priced too interest young collectors just starting out. Fine to very fine conditions estimated CGC of 7.0 to 9.0. Cover art colors are exceptional, interior pages are in fine condition only showing slight browning. All have be preserved in acid free plastic sleeves.
