Three 1913 broadsides (25 x 12") on colored paper. Six 1918-1919 broadsides (16 3/4x 10 3/4") on gray paper. Movie posters of the Saison-Theater in Gmunden, built in 1913, opened with its first show on the 15th of June 1913, under the direction of Hans Claar. The postwar shows were produced under the direction of Toni Claar. 1. Sunday, June 29, 1913, 3 p.m. Movie premiere of the popular movie comedians Max Linder and J. Prince, followed by a Pathé-Journal (early newsreels and the movie program in color: Das malerische Ceylon, documentary, Indianergeschichten, dreams of little Tom, Wie die Rosen blühen, a scientific rendering, and Jim and Jack, a variety show. another Pathé-Journal followed and then the movies "Wenn Liebe spricht," a spy drama, "Moritz irdische Überreste" starring J. Prince, and "Liebesheirat" starring Max Linder. A detailed list of prices with 15 categories, reduced for locals, at the bottom of the poster. Multiple folds as number two and three. This in near fine condition. All other posters have one horizontal and one vertical fold. 2. Saturday, July 5, 1913, 4 p.m. Family-Performance with completely new program: The newest film! "Die Schlacht am Cumberland River" and for the first time Asta Nielsen starring in "Jugend und Tollheit." A comedy "Des Regiments Gaul" and a newsreel round out the program. Detailed price list at bottom. Minor staining at vertical fold. Else in very good condition. 3. Saturday, August 9, 1913, 4 p.m. On popular demand a rerun of the guest performance of the Cines-Company, their sensational film: "Quo Vadis," a drama in six acts after the popular novel by Henryk Sienkiewicz, rated free for adolescents, with various excerpts from press reviews. Includes price list at bottom. Three inch closed tears at top of fold, reinforced with tape on back. Some light staining at middle of text at bottom. Discoloration at horizontal fold. Else in very good condition. The 1918 and 1919 posters are designed differently, printed to white paper, and contain programs for Saturdays, Sundays, two of those include Wednesday programs, two of them announce Wednesday and Thursday programs. 4. Saturday, August 2, Sunday, August 3, Wednesday, August 6, 1918, 8 p.m. Starring Waldemar Psylander in eh Danish silent movie based on Arthur Schnitzler's play: "Liebelei." in addition the program offer a comedy "Romeo and Juliet in a Seaside Resort," and a documentary on silkworms. Sunday's program includes "Mütterchen" starring Else Fröhlich, "Das Fräulein von der Kavallerie starring Erika Glässner, and Wednesday offers the Sascha-Journal Nr. 14: "Die Vase der Semiramis" and "Littl Pitsch als Meisterdetektiv." Contains disclaimers reserving right of program changes and and prohibiting youth under 17 to attend evening shows. Small chip just below title line and very small closed tear at top fold. Else in very good condition. 5. Wednesday, August 28, Thursday, August 29, 1918. 8 p.m. Wednesday offers the "Sascha-Kriegswoche," a detective film and a comedy, Thursday again a detective film starring Leopoldine Konstantin, and the comedy "Die Kunst zu heiraten" starring Viggo Larsen and Käthe Dorsch. Few closed tears at top and in title line, reinforced with tape on back. Else very good. 6. Saturday, August 31, Sunday September 1, 1918, 8 p.m. Saturday includes a documentary on the new Alps Railway, the drama "Der Geigenspieler" starring Lotte Neuman, and a comedy. Sunday the drama "Der 10. Pavillon der Zitadelle," based on a true story, and the comedy "Der unwiderstehliche Theodor" starring Arnold Rieck. Some closed tears in title line, reinforced with tape on back. Foredge trimmed diagonally with little loss of prices at bottom. Else very good. 7. Saturday, September 7, Sunday, September 8, 1918, 8 p.m. Saturday's program includes "Smoalands Tabory," a drama and a comedy, Sunday a tragedy and a comedy. No credits are given.
