Life-Size Sculpture handcrafted at the Maine State Prison, inspired by biker culture artist David Mann's painting entitled "Neptune's Ride". This one-of-a-kind carving started in March of 2006 and was completed in December 2006 with over 1,500 hours of master craftsmanship. King Neptune, Shannon the Mermaid and the motorcycle are primarily carved of 834 bd ft of 8/4 native Maine basswood. On integral platform, one piece (trident removable). 72" (6'-0") tall, 126" (10'-6") long, 60" (5'-0") deep. Fine condition. Includes book that details the making of this piece from scratch to finishing touches.
