Of this book, Charles Johnston, Benoist’s biographer, states: “To this undertaking Benoist brought the advantages of a solid education, a capacity for meticulous detail and painstaking research, integrity in the use of his sources, and a desire to be fair while acknowledging his ardent desire to vindicate his people.” This rare first English edition was translated by Edward Cooke. According to Lowndes, “For this work the publisher obtained a license from Queen Mary, dated 30 June 1963. The only book for which she ever granted a license.” (Lowndes 1647) $750.00 In stock Add to cart Free shipping wordwide!
