Victorian silver large basting spoon.
Victorian silver Fiddle Thread pattern basting spoon, with crested terminal. Hallmarked Chawner & Co (George William Adams), London 1863. Length measures 12 inches (30.5 cm), weight 4.77 ozt (148.5 grams).\n\nThe basting spoon is in fairly poor condition. There is considerable general wear commensurate with the age and use. There are spots of tarnishing all over, general surface marks and scratches and various minor nicks, especially to the edges. The rounded edge to one side of the terminal has folded in slightly. Some wear to the tip of the spoon bowl. Hallmarks are clear and legible. Fellows & Sons
