Known for his transatlantic accent, debonair demeanor, and "dashing good looks", Cary Grant is considered one of classic Hollywood's definitive leading men. Sometimes referred to as the "epitome of elegance," Cary Grant exuded style, charm and sophistication. Grant performed in films from the 1930s through the 1960s. He starred in several Hitchcock films, including the 1959 hit North by Northwest. Cary Grant was born 1904, in Bristol, England. He ran away from home at 13 to perform as a juggler with a comedy troupe. They later toured the U.S., where he honed his acting skills. In the 1930s he signed with Paramount Pictures. He made films well into the 1960s, establishing the debonair persona that made him a screen icon. He died in 1986, having received an honorary Oscar in 1970. Film critic David Thomson referred to Grant as "the best and most important actor in the history of the cinema", while the film critic Richard Schickel said that he's the "best star actor there ever was in the movies. Howard Hawks concurred, remarking that Grant "so far the best that there isn't anybody to be compared to him. Grant remained one of Hollywood's top box-office attractions for almost 30 years. Grant poked fun at himself with statements such as, "Everyone wants to be Cary Grant—even I want to be Cary Grant".

Painting: Charcoal, Pastel and Paper on Paper. I painted this minimalistic Charcoal and Pastel to represent exactly the name AIRE or (air). How do you paint something that is invisible... We may not see air but we can surely feel the wind. In the painting you can feel the clear spherical creature; moving through the long wind ladders. The blue sphere is the only color on the painting. The rest of the painting is charcoal and naked Arches fine art paper. This is a large painting beautiful with a minimalistic feel. Contemporary and abstract. Keywords: pastel, black and white , large painting, charcoal, minimalistic, contemporary, cubism, abstract, geometric, victoria blak, ladders cubes spheres, ink

-Here, in her “Hidden Treasure”, Caroline uses a dripping, pouring technique with Ink and acrylics, gold powder and Autumn color tones. The intention of the Artist was to go deeper in your own conscience than you think possible. -Growth and development is a matter of visualization. One of the quotes Caroline Vis uses is: "Everything you can visualize in the material world, you can achieve as long you believe in yourself and don't stop trying"

This painting was inspired by a trip to Alaska where I had the good fortune to take a helicopter ride over a glacier. It's not actually a statement about global warming, although that is a problem. The glacier here is metaphorical, those ice formations that exist in my soul, things like guilt and self doubt. It's a painting about positive, spiritual evolution. Created with impasto techniques and acrylic paint as well as crystal granules and graphite powder in acrylic medium. There is a lot of texture in this painting as well as dripping paint. One gets a sense of multiple layers and movement when viewing this work. This painting addresses the idea that events sometimes occur in our lives that may appear negative or difficult at first, yet in retrospect, they bring us gifts we could not have imagined.

1967 Series 1 Jaguar XKE Convertible for sale in Wixom, MI 48393 This is a beautiful and rare open headlight Series 1 Jaguar XKE. Very few open headlight cars were produced at the end of the Series 1 Jaguar run making them among the rarest of all production E-Types. This 1967 Jaguar XKE has the triple bow convertible top frame, three SU carburetors, polished aluminum cam covers, single radiator fan, and toggle switches on the dash. Open headlights brighten the road far better than the covered examples, so this rare combination provides the uniqueness and novelty of earlier cars with the added benefit of being able to drive it practically and more safely after dark. This car has just 3,000 miles on it since a complete restoration in 1993. That is just enough miles to get things sorted, and the car now performs magically and it looks like new. The three SU carburetors feed the rebuilt 4.2L straight 6-cylinder engine for performance that will push you back in your seat with each press of the throttle. On our test drive this car hit 50 mpr in second gear just seconds after rounding a 90 degree turn.
