After many years of heavy alcohol abuse, where Vhilo periodically also was homeless, he managed to find his way back to life through art. In 2003, he stopped drinking but was suffering from cancer Today after his third cancer treatment, which has meant that he has amputated the entire right shoulder blade, Vhilo has managed to find a technique where he can paint with the help of his left arm. At first, painting was purely therapeutic. Today, he himself says that it is the art that saved him and that keeps him alive. His painting is colorful and he has developed his very own unique and special style where the canvas are filled with many little figures, details and a lot of humor. Vhilo says that he finds inspiration everywhere around him, it can be a beautiful woman, a smile but also memories of his old life. Vhilo H. Perssons works have been represented at exhibitions around the world, such as Sweden, Belgium, Monaco, Shanghai, Hong Kong and the Netherlands.Read more
